Role of BJP leaders condemned

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday condemned the role of the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in the attempt to take possession of the Bishop's House belonging to the Church of North India (CNI) in Ajmer town two days back. The BJP leaders were working as "mafia gangs" in the region and the higher-ups in the party were giving protection to them, the Congress alleged.

PCC spokesperson Param Navdeep Singh, in a statement here, sought an enquiry in the whole episode of Gopal Choudhary, up-pradhan of Srinagar panchayat samiti, leading a group of men to forcibly occupy the British period Civil Lines located Lower Mission Bungalow. The BJP MLA from Masuda, Vishnu Modi was giving protection to the criminals, she accused.Dr.Param expressed her satisfaction over the timely action of the police in arresting 13 persons, including Choudhary, who is the former Ajmer district (Rural) chief of the BJP, in this connection. However, she accused the administration of failing in taking action against Mr.Modi .
