JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, on her return to Delhi after a 12-day visit to the US and the UK, called on Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday. Mr. Shekhawat congratulated Ms.Raje on her receiving the prestigious "Women Together Award" at the UN headquarters in New York. On the occasion, the Vice-President noted that the "Women Together Award" was a matter of great pride for not only Rajasthan but also the whole nation.

Ms. Raje, who dedicated the award to weavers and artisans of Rajasthan, said she was delighted at the award which gave recognition to the skills of Rajasthani artisans.
`Significant trip'
Ms.Raje was selected for the award for her role in promoting handloom sector, weavers of Kota Doria saris and the self help groups(SHGs).
On her return Ms.Raje termed her trip "significant" and "fruitful" from investment point of view. The non-resident Rajasthanis would be coming to invest in Rajasthan in hotel industry and in healthcare. Rajasthan would soon gain international reputation as well as recognition in medical tourism and hotel industry, she said.
Warm welcome
Earlier, Ms.Raje was given a warm welcome on her arrival at the IGI Airport.
