Announcements of results of examinations are always a cause of worry... whether one introduces the grading system or not. Three girls near Koyilandy left their homes to escape into the wilderness just as the results of the SSLC examination were to be announced last Sunday. They are back home now. The girls had a quite an adventure taking a train to Palakkad and then to Ernakulam. However, some bitter experiences prompted them to contact their parents who took them back home. Of the three, two had written in the regular stream and the third with private registration. The fears of two of them were unfounded as the results proved. They had passed the examinations.
