Rain in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, coastal and north interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep.

The following stations recorded heavy rainfall in centimeters:

Avinashi (Coimbatore dt.) 11 and Thirukattupalli (Thanjavur dt.) and Hoskote (Bangalore Rural dt.) 7 each.

Forecast (Valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Lakshadweep and south interior Karnataka.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Heat Wave Warning: Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over parts of North Tamil Nadu during next two days.
