Parambikulam: review meet to be on June 2

PALAKKAD: Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has called a review meeting of the inter-State Parambikulam-Aliyar Project (PAP) in Thiruvanathapuram on June 2.

This is the first review meeting of PAP after the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government assumed power in the State in May last. The meeting will be attended by Water Resources and Forest Ministers and the officials of the Joint Water Regulation Board (JWRB). There are a number of disputes that remain to be solved between Kerala and Tamil Nadu on the sharing of the waters of the Periyar, Bharathapuzha and Chalakudipuzha under the PAP agreement.
