18.78 lakh farmers and family members have enrolled so far Free treatment offered in government and private hospitals
BANGALORE:
Minister for Cooperation G.T. Deve Gowda on Thursday said 34,236 farmers and their dependents underwent medical treatment and 2.01 lakh farmers made use of outpatient consultancy services in 2006-07 under Yeshasvini, the low-cost healthcare scheme of the State Government.
Mr. Gowda told presspersons here that May 31 was the last date for registering for the scheme. As many as 18.78 lakh farmers and their family members had enrolled so far for free treatment in a network of government and private hospitals.
