Pedestrians' woes

With cable-laying and drainage works, many parts of the city wear a grimy look. Clouds of fine dust settle on passers-by as vehicles move past the gaping pits on the roads.

On the Poojappura-Tirumala and Maruthankuzhy-Vattiyoorkavu stretch, road works are just half done.

While willing for the monsoon to come, the local residents also fear that the arrival of monsoon might make things messier.
