City police officer in Hyderabad

BANGALORE:
Bangalore's Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Bipin Gopalakrishna is camping in Hyderabad to obtain details of the recent blast at Mecca Masjid there.
Mr. Gopalakrishna told The Hindu over telephone from Hyderabad on Thursday that he had gone there not for any investigation but only to familiarise himself with the incident.
Mr. Gopalakrishna visited the blast site and interacted with senior police officials of Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, sources in the Bangalore police said that they were not aware of a senior Hyderabad police official coming here in connection with the blast investigation as reported in a section of the media.
