Investor-friendly atmosphere: Karim

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: The State now has an atmosphere conducive to investments and that several Indian and foreign businesses were in touch with the Government on potential areas of investment,

Industries Minister Elamaram Karim has said.

The Minister was addressing workers of the Cochin Port Trust, affiliated to the Cochin Port Employees' Organisation (CPEO), after a rally organised in connection with the 13th annual meeting of the Organisation on Willingdon Island.

Mr. Karim said Kerala would be transformed over the next five years and the Government was not in any way anti-development.

The LDF Government could curb unhealthy practices on the Cochin Port premises with cooperation of the workers.

This was a major development on the industrial front, he said as he congratulated the Port employees for the achievement.
