Development projects should mark anniversary: Sarma

KOCHI: The celebrations on the completion of the State Government's one year in office should be made meaningful through developmental works of various departments, Fisheries Minister S. Sarma has said.

Talking at a district-level meet organised to mark the first anniversary of the Left Democratic Front Government, Mr. Sarma said various Government departments and institutions should bring relief and aid to people.

Development works already initiated should be completed while new initiatives should be started, Mr. Sarma said. He urged people to encourage development projects. Mr. Sarma asked the officials to resolve the drawbacks and to implement various projects in a way beneficial to the public. Sebastian Paul, MP, wished that the anniversary celebrations would help speed up the development projects. M.A. Yousuf, M.K. Purushothaman, C.M. Dinesh Mani, K.V. Thomas, MLAs; Deputy Mayor C.K. Mani Sankar and District Collector A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish participated.
