Karshaka Congress meet

KOCHI: The Kerala Pradesh Karshaka Congress will organise a leadership meet at Veekshanam hall on May 28. Identity cards will be distributed to the members on the occasion. KOCHI: The 90th anniversary of the mixed community feast organised by Sahodaran Ayyappan at Cherai will be observed on May 30. Education Minister M.A. Baby will inaugurate the programme. District medical

office shifted

KOCHI: The district medical office under the Indian Systems of Medicine department (ISM) has been shifted from Kacheripady junction to L.S.G Building in Pallath Road, Thammanam while the District Ayurveda hospital, Thripunithura, has been shifted to the Medical Ayurveda College building, District Medical Officer (ISM) has informed. — Staff Reporter

Police officers' association meet

KOCHI: Minister for Public Works T.U. Kuruvilla inaugurated the meeting of the Kochi City unit of the Kerala Police Officers' Association, here on Thursday. He said there was increasing demand to introduce the eight-hour shift in police stations across the State. Ernakulam Range DIG Ravada Chandrasekhar inaugurated a seminar on `The role of police in societal development.' Sivan Madathil, lawyer, was the moderator. City Police Commissioner Manoj Abraham inaugurated the delegates' meeting in the evening. — Staff Reporter
