BANGALORE: A man, a woman and her 10-year-old daughter committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near K.R. Puram on Wednesday night. The three mutilated bodies were found on Bangalore-Chennai tracks between K.R. Puram railway station and locomotive shed on Thursday, the police said. The dead were identified as Ramaiah (55), a mason, Gayathri (35), a vegetable vendor, and her daughter Lavanya (10), all residents of B. Narayanapura slum. According to the police, Ramaiah, father of four, had an affair with Gayathri, which was discovered by their relatives. Unable to bear the mortification, they entered into a suicide pact. Gayathri's husband had deserted her about a decade ago after Lavanaya's birth, the police said. The Byappanahalli railway police have registered a case. Subramani alias Subbu (40), a petty businessman, committed suicide by throwing himself under the Yeshwanthapur-Salem Express on Wednesday. He was a resident of Gandhinagar in Kadugondanahalli and he was dejected in life, the police said.
