Special buses

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation will operate special buses for those attending The Hindu Opportunities Job Fair 2007 to be held at the Bangalore Trade Centre, Whitefield, on Saturday and Sunday. The buses will be available from the Kempegowda Bus Station, Shivajinagar bus station and K.R. Market.

Examination

The examinations of BE and B.Tech 1st to 8th semester, B. Arch 1st to 10 semesters, second to fifth year of BE and B. Arch and B. Tech (annual scheme and for subjects which do not have equivalent subject) courses will be held during June or July 2007. According to a press note, the last date for submission of examination fees and application form is June 5. With a fine of Rs. 100 per semester, annual application can be filed by June 11. Students have to pay Rs. 600 a semester and Rs. 200 a paper as examination fees.

Seminar

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will conduct one-day seminar on alternate fuels, energy and environment called "Safe-2007" on June 5 at Hotel Taj West End.

Convention

Institute of Social Sciences will conduct a one-day State-level convention on May 27 to discuss about the emerging situation in State with regard to devaluation and marginalisation of panchayats. Zilla Panchayat presidents and members of taluk and gram panchayats will participate in the convention. According to a press release, the convention will adopt a charter of demands to be submitted to the State Government. The convention will be held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at 10 a.m.
