Murder accused surrenders

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Congress party leader Y. Sreedhar Reddy, whose name figured in the First Information Report of the murder of his party leader M. Jagadishwar Reddy, surrendered before a local court here on Saturday.

Jagadiswar Reddy was stabbed to death four days ago by a motorcycle-borne youth after picking up a quarrel with him at Uppal Industrial Area. The victim's relatives alleged that Y. Sreedhar Reddy and his associates masterminded the killing.

Uppal police said they would take the accused person into custody and interrogate him to ascertain his alleged complicity in the killing.
