CET Cell attacked

About 20 activists of the Karnataka Democratic Students' Federation stormed the CET Cell here on Saturday, pelting stones and shouting slogans against the high fee structure for professional courses. The police, who were caught off guard by the attack, managed to arrest three.

Tension prevailed for about an hour at the cell, where several CBSE students had gathered to present their 12th standard marks to get their CET engineering and medical ranks.

Short-term courses

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers will conduct short-term courses in Embedded Systems, RTOS (Vx Works) and Linux Internals and DSP from June 3. The courses will be conducted on the IETE premises on Bellary Road. For details, call 23331133/ 23337231.
