Kakinada: The Rythu Chaitanya Yathras launched all over the district on May 20 have been evoking good response with large number of ryots getting enriched with the knowledge about the latest advancements in agricultural research and the package of practices for achieving higher yields on the farm front, according to M. Subrahmanyam East Godavari Collector. He said here on Sunday that the ryots had evinced keen interest on the latest agricultural practices, usage of organic manure, seed exchange and Polam Badi programmes. Along with the officials of the agricultural department, the affiliate departments such as horticulture, sericulture, animal husbandry and marketing were taking part in the Rythu Chaitanya yathras clarifying the doubts expressed by the ryots on various practices. So far, he said, the Rythu Chaitanya Yathras were organised in 940 villages and habitats imparting training to 26,450 ryots that includes 2,437 women.
