Civil Service coaching programme launched

NEW DELHI: Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna inaugurated a Civil Service Coaching Programme at the India Islamic Cultural Centre (IICC) here on Sunday. Mr. Khanna appreciated IICC's initiative to establish the coaching programme for the benefit of students appearing in the competitive examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

As the coaching programme has been designed for the benefit of the minority community and members of economically backward sections of the society and IICC would also provide study material to the candidates, Mr Khanna assured all possible assistance to it.

Speaking on the occasion, IICC president Sirajuddin Qureshi exhorted the candidates to work hard to achieve success in the competitive examinations. Choudhary Tayyab Hussain, who had played a pivotal role in establishing the coaching centre, was also present on the occasion.

IGNOU exams from June 1

NEW DELHI: The term-end examination for June 2007 of Indira Gandhi National Open University would commence from June 1 and would run up to June 28, a release by the University said.

It said examination intimation slips have been issued to 3,09,000 eligible students who had applied for appearing the examinations. The detailed hall-ticket status has also been made available on IGNOU website, "www.ignou.ac.in" and students can also download the hall tickets from the website and appear in the examination.

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University has announced admission to its Management Programmes OPENMAT - XXII (MBA, PG Diploma in Management, HRD, Finance, Operations, Marketing and Diploma in Management) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme for 2008.

NEW DELHI: Srinivas Group of Education Institute on Sunday announced that it would set up a deemed university in the NCR to meet the growing demand of professional courses at reasonable rates for middle class families. The group chairman Srinivas Rao said the 60-hectare campus would come up in the next four years at an investment of Rs. 100 crore.
