Ten killed in accident

NIZAMABAD:
Ten persons, including three women, were killed and seven others injured in a road accident at Menur crossroads in Madnoor mandal of Nizamabad district early on Sunday.
The accident occurred when a truck laden with drinking water sachets overturned killing 10 persons on the spot who were travelling on top of the load.
The deceased were identified as Shaik Zahoor Ahmed (70), his son Noor Ahmed (50), grandson Saddam (20) and Zahoor's daughter's son Mohammad Shakeel (15), Shaik Ahmed Hussain (50) and his wife Chand Bi (40) their daughter Razia (13) and son Arman (1), Soumilibi (40) and her son Shaik Shakheel (3).
According to the eyewitness accounts, the driver seemed to be sleepy and could not control the vehicle even when it was darting across the road bending to one side for a distance of 50 metres.
