Thiruvananthapuram: The Trivandrum Residents' Apex Council (TRAC) has accused a section of officials of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) of fleecing consumers by issuing additional bills. A press note quoting TRAC secretary K.T. Roy on Monday said the Electricity Minister himself was kept in the dark about the decision to issue additional bills. Urging the KSEB to withdraw the additional charge, TRAC warned that it would lay siege to KSEB section offices to register protest. The press note alleged that the district administration was dragging its feet on demolishing unauthorised buildings. It flayed the threat by a section of traders to resist eviction of encroachments on Government land.
