Chennai: It was a tough third day in the Government of Tamil Nadu Laser Coastal National Sailing Championship. A stiff land breeze forced the sailors deeper into the sea in the afternoon. As the evening set in, the sea wind gathered speed. In between, there was a spell of extremely light gust and swells. Even the seemingly invincible Rajesh Chowdhary was caught in a circular wind and he even lost a race. However, Chowdhary nailed the day's last two races, winning seven out of the eight contests in the Laser Standard class. Chowdhary's Army Yachting Node (AYN) teammate D.P. Selvam, making the most of the opportunity when the leader briefly lost his way, finished second and third in the subsequent races to take the second spot overall.

Laser 4.7: Boys: 1. Abhimanyu Nityanand (TNSA); 2. Sarav Rajavelu (TNSA); 3. Sooraj Sadanand (TNSA). Laser 4.7: Girls: 1. Mrinalini Santhanam (TNSA); 2. Shwetha Sadanand (TNSA); 3.
