KOZHIKODE: The Folklore Fellows of Malabar Trust will be celebrating silver jubilee on Wednesday and Thursday with programmes to highlight the increasing relevance of folklore in times of globalisation and the emergence of fundamentalism. Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy will inaugurate the celebrations at a function to be presided over by Mayor M. Bhaskaran. The programme highlights on the first day would be a music session led by Moplah song maestro V.M. Kutty. Dr. K.K.N. Kurup, former Vice-Chancellor of Calicut University, will inaugurate a folklore seminar on Thursday. M.P. Veerendrakumar, MP, will be the chief guest.
