ONGC in final

NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Ranji player Gagan Khoda (119, 116b, 4x6, 8x4) and Delhi captain Mithun Manhas (101 not out, 68b, 3x6, 8x4) laid solid foundation as Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) scored a 34-run win over Collage Sports Club to make it to the final of the Lala Raghubir Singh hot weather cricket tournament at the Modern School ground here on Monday.

Put in to bat, ONGC openers, Khoda and Virender Sehwag (47, 39b, 7x4) tonked the ball all over the ground before Manhas joined Khoda in the run feast.

Collage had a shaky start as wickets fell at regular interval. Collage was 92 for four when Sachin Chaudhary (69, 66b, 4x6, 3x4) and Pramod Bhati (106 not out, 66b, 5x6, 9x4) came together and salvaged the innings. Bhati stayed on till the end, but Collage failed to catch up with ONGC's massive total.

The scores: ONGC 321 for four in 40 overs (Gagan Khoda 119, Mithun Manhas 101 not out, Virender Sehwag 47) bt Collage Sports Club 287 for eight in 40 overs (Pramod Bhati 106 not out, Sachin Chaudhary 69, Abhinav Verma 44, Sumit Nagwal three for 25).
