Officials visit Reliance SEZ

Ahmedabad: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials on Monday visited the Mukesh Ambani-promoted Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Jamnagar to ascertain the area used for setting up the export zone.

"The DRI conducted normal verification of SEZ area and non-SEZ area at the Reliance SEZ," Reliance Petroleum Limited (RPL) sources said.

The RPL had recently received approval for setting up a multi-product SEZ in Jamnagar, where the exercise by the DRI was carried out.

The verification assumes significance after two senior officials of another corporate entity were arrested from Hazira in Surat for alleged financial irregularities. — PTI
