TIRUPATI: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu called upon the Centre to confer the highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna on N. T. Rama Rao who he said had left a deep imprint in the hearts of the people of India. Mr Naidu was speaking after cutting a huge cake at the TDP's Mahanadu here on the eve of the 85th birth anniversary of the TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao who he said had carved a niche for himself in the film as well as political fields. "We will wage a war with the Centre to get the statues of NTR and Alluri Sitarama Raju erected in the Parliament building," Mr Naidu said. He termed the State's move to dabble with the name of Hyderabad airport, christened as `NTR national airport terminal' as a humiliation to N.T. Rama Rao.
