51 more properties sealed in Delhi

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Monday sealed 51 commercial properties operating from residential premises in the city.

Twenty-six commercial establishments were targeted in Najafgarh for violation of mixed land use norms. In Shahdara (North), 15 properties were sealed in East and West Babarpur. Two properties each were sealed in Rohini and Civil Lines zones. Three properties each were targeted in Greater Kailash-I and Shahdara (South) Zone.

A total of 1,865 properties have been sealed by the MCD since the resumption of the drive on March 28.

Goa Express to stop at Uruli

NEW DELHI: For the convenience of rail passengers, the 2779/2780 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vasco Da Gama Goa Express has been provided a two-minute stoppage at Uruli with immediate effect up to June 5. The 2779 Nizamuddin-Vasco Da Gama train will arrive at Uruli at 4-45 a.m., while the return service will reach there at 3-05 p.m.

Floral tributes to Savarkar

NEW DELHI: Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra paid floral tributes to renowned patriot, statesman and freedom fighter Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his 124th birth anniversary at a function in Lajpat Nagar here on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner (Central Zone) Gyanesh Bharti and Director (Community Services) Kiran Dabral along with other senior municipal officials were among those present.
