BERHAMPUR: Villagers have beaten up two persons at Sarapada under Badagada police station suspecting that the duo were practising socrcery. The villagers of Sarapada under Badagada police station rounded up Prafulla Bhuyan and Dibakar Das of the same village alleging that they were involved in practice of sorcery. Bhuyan and Das were beaten up ruthlessly and their front teeth were broken up as the villagers believed that without their teeth they would not be able to recite mantras for sorcery practices. On receiving information a police team from Badagada police station reached the Sarapada village and rescued the two victims.
