KOCHI: The sulphuric acid plant of Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT), shut down following leakage of sulphur dioxide on Sunday night, causing panic in Kalamassery and Eloor areas, will be restarted at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. The decision was taken after officials of the Kerala State Pollution Control Board, members of the Supreme Court monitoring committee on environment, along with A.M. Yousef, MLA, C.P. Usha, Eloor panchayat president, and others, inspected the plant on Monday.
