City schools fare well in CBSE examination

Several schools achieve hundred per cent pass

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Several schools in the city have registered hundred per cent results in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class X examination, the results of which were announced on Monday.

At Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, Thiruvallom, out of the 50 students who wrote the exam, 39 passed with distinction. Arshad Arjunan Nair who scored 95.2 per cent is the school topper.

Of the 77 students who appeared from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Manacuad, 41 secured distinction. Anjana A.M. with 94.6 per cent is the school topper.

At Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Vattiyoorkavu, out of 110 candidates who appeared for the examination, 87 students secured distinction. Archa with 96 per cent marks is the school first.

The 170 candidates who took the examination from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Senior Secondary School, Kodunganoor, passed. Of this, 113 got distinction. V. Leksmi who scored 495 marks out of 500 is the school topper.

Of the 182 students who appeared from St. Thomas Central School, Mukkolakkal, 145 secured distinction. Reema Miria Abraham with 96 per cent is the school topper. Santhigiri Vidyabhavan posted 100 per cent results for the fourth consecutive year. Of the 35 candidates who wrote the examination, 15 secured distinction.

As in the previous years, Arya Central School, Pattom, has registered 100 per cent results. Of the 154 students who appeared from the school, 142 secured more than 75 per cent marks and the remaining, first class. Adarsh R.S., who scored 487 out of 500, is the top scorer of the school.

Mannam Memorial Residential Public School, Kollam, has registered hundred per cent pass at the examination. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, which had the highest number of candidates for the examination in the State, 239 students, secured 131 distinction.

Of the 76 students who appeared from St. Mary's Residential Central School, Poojappura, 55 won distinction. R. Neena Prasad with 97.2 per cent marks is the school topper.

At VSSC Central School, out of the 64 students who appeared, 33 secured distinction. Mithra Elsa Thomas with 462 marks is the top scorer. Mother India International Residential Public School, Attingal, posted hundred per cent results at the class X examination.

Sree Chithra Thirunal Residential Central School, Karakonam, registered hundred per cent results for the sixth consecutive year. The school secured 32 distinction. Mithun T.S. with 91 per cent marks is the school first.
