THESPIANS, ALL: Award winner S.L. Bhyrappa flanked by Jnanpeeth awardee C. Narayana Reddy and writer Indira Goswami at a function in Hyderabad on Monday.
HYDERABAD: The glory of the legend called `NTR' was remembered by speakers at a function to present the first-ever NTR National Literary Award to Kannada writer S.L. Bhyrappa by Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy here on Monday. Mr. Reddy said translations of socially relevant works of literary figures, like Dr. Bhyrappa, would help enlighten people on social problems. Andhra Saraswata Parishad president and Jnanpeeth awardee C. Narayana Reddy said Rama Rao would always weave the basics of a story, specially his role and write the screenplay himself. Jnanpeeth awardee and Assamese writer Indira Goswami `Sahaja Kavi' M.S. Reddy and C. Mrunalini, Programme Director, World Space `Spandana', were present.
