Isolated rain likely in T.N. CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of Kerala, coastal Karnataka and most parts of south interior Karnataka and some parts of Tamil Nadu. Conditions are favourable for its further advance into some more parts of Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu during next 48 hours.

Southwest monsoon has been active over Kerala and Coastal Karnataka.

Rentachintala recorded the highest maximum temperature of 44 degree Celsius in the region.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING:

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over north interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur over Tamil nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep and during next 48 hours.
