Naidu gets another term as TD chief

TIRUPATI: N.Chandrababu Naidu was unanimously elected as president of the Telugu Desam Party for another term at the Mahanadu here on Tuesday.

Half - a-dozen sets of nominations were filed and seconded by senior leaders earlier, all of them proposing the present incumbent.

Going on predicted lines, the election committee president Lal Jan Basha announced Naidu's `unanimous' election as the president of the party.

Immediately after the announcement, several leaders stormed the dais with bouquets, garlands, shawls and mementoes such as headgear, sword and shield, etc. to greet their president.
