Bank compensates for stolen gold

GUNTUR: Sri Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank Narsaraopet branch in Guntur district has begun disbursing money to all 1,120 gold loan account holders, whose gold was stolen by robbers during Christmas holidays in December 2006.

The bank branch manager M.V.R. Seshu Kumar said Rs.4.22 crore was needed to distribute money .
