Recruitment rally

PATHANAMTHITTA: An Army recruitment rally at the District Stadium here, organised by the Army Recruiting Office in Thiruvananthapuram, will end on Wednesday. At a press conference here on Tuesday, J.M. Devadoss, Deputy Director-General, Recruiting Zone, Bangalore, said men aged 171/2 to 23, residents of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Idukki, Kottayam and Ernakulam, were participating in the rally conducted for recruiting soldiers (general duty, clerk, technical and tradesmen).

Applications invited

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vastuvidya Gurukulam, Aranmula, under the Department of Culture, has invited applications for its one-year correspondence course in traditional architecture.

The basic qualification for the course is degree awarded by a recognised university and civil or architecture diploma given by polytechnics.

The total number of seats is 300 and the course fee is Rs. 5,400. Applications can be had from the Executive Director, Vastuvidya Gurukulam, Aranmula, Pathanamthitta, on payment of postal order/money order for Rs. 50. The last date for receipt of applications is July 31. — Special Correspondent

Sun Tec ties up with Infosys

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sun Tec Business Solutions, a Thiruvananthapuram-based software company, has entered into an agreement with information technology (IT) major Infosys Technologies Limited to provide a software product meant for financial institutions.

According to a release received here on Tuesday, the new partnership aims at providing Sun Tec's Transaction Business Management Systems-Finance (TBMS-F) product suite coupled with the Finacle. Finacle is a universal banking solution developed by Infosys.
