Need to consolidate peace process: Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday told Rajya Sabha member Nirmala Deshpande that there was an urgent need to consolidate the India-Pakistan peace process with progress in conflict resolution.

A statement from the Pakistan Foreign Ministry said Ms. Deshpande, who heads the Indian chapter of the India-Pakistan friendship group in Parliament, called on Gen. Musharraf and updated him on her efforts for the promotion of peace between the two countries.
