NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday reserved its orders on a petition filed by the Association of Victims of Uphaar Tragedy seeking a speedy trial of the case in the lower court.

The Bench of Mukul Mudgal and P. K. Bhasin reserved the orders on the petition in which it was submitted that it had been ten years since the incident and eight years had passed since the case was committed to the Sessions court.

The Association had submitted that the High Court in April 2002 asked the trial court to complete the proceedings by December 15, 2002. But five years had passed since.
