Britannia pays Rs. 15 per share

BANGALORE : Britannia Industries reported sales of Rs. 2,199.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007, a 28. 4 per cent growth over the previous year. The net profit was lower at Rs. 107.60 crore against Rs. 146.40 crore "due to unprecedented inflation in all key commodities," the company said in a release. The board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs. 15 per share of the face value of Rs. 10 each, the same as last year, says Managing Director, Vinita Bali.
