Centurion Bank of Punjab's net up 38 p.c.

CHENNAI : Centurion Bank of Punjab announced a net profit of Rs. 121 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007, up 38 per cent over the previous year. The net profit for the quarter at Rs. 28 crore was up 8 per cent as compared to the corresponding quarter last year. This increase was achieved after a one-time reduction of Rs. 13.20 crore due to the revised standard asset provisioning norms as prescribed by the RBI. The operating profit for the year was Rs. 269 crore, a release says.
