KOCHI: The Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) is not worried about entry of multinational and Indian companies into organised retail because their arrival will only enhance the reputation of its outlets. With a network of 2,000 outlets, including converted ration shops, the corporation is well placed to play its role. Its network covers even the remote corners of the State, said Yogesh Gupta, Chairman of the corporation here. He said the corporation would open three hypermarkets. The first one would come up in Kottayam, next in Thiruvananthapuram and last in Kochi. The Supplyco Board had approved the proposal for the Kottayam hypermarket.
