Woman commits suicide

Bangalore: Mamatha (28), who was being allegedly harassed for more dowry by her husband, committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Chandra Layout police station limits on Tuesday night.

The police said that after his first wife committed suicide, Rajanna married Mamatha of Channaptana in Bangalore Rural district five years ago.

Rajanna and Mamatha were working in a garment factory here and lived at Nayandahalli.

The Chandra Layout police have registered a case.

Murdered

A man aged around 25 was found murdered at a farmhouse in Nelamangala police station limits in Bangalore Rural district here on Wednesday.

Palani Velu, owner of the farmhouse situated at Kammasandra, told the police that the farmhouse attendant, Venkataramana, who was on duty on Tuesday night, had gone missing.

The Nelamangala police, who have registered a case police, suspect that Venkataramana could have stabbed the man.
