KANNUR: Reservation wards of the Mattannur municipality going to the polls in September next have been finalised. Eleven women reservation wards and one Scheduled Caste reservation ward were finalised at a meeting of political party leaders and officials convened by District Collector and District Presiding Officer Ishitha Roy here on Wednesday. There are total 31 wards in the municipality, which is going to the polls in September next. Women reservation wards are Porora, Kayalur, Chirakkadi, Pariyaram, Pazhassi, Peringeri, Bevarkad, Maruthayi, Pettazhi, Nalankari and Temple ward. The Temple ward was selected through draw of lots and the rest had been women reservation wards in 1997.
