HASSAN: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation will issue bus passes to students of recognised primary and high schools under concessional rates for 2007-08. Primary school students have to pay Rs. 60 a year and high school students Rs. 450 along with processing fee of Rs. 60 each.Divisional Controller Ganganna Gowda said in a press release here on Wednesday that Arsikere, J.C. Pura, Gandsi, Javagal, Banavara, Alur, and Sakleshpur, though in Hassan district, come under the Chikmagalur KSRTC Division. Students have to submit school admission certificate, photocopy of fees paid and three recent stamp size photos along with the application form. They have to submit the application form at their respective bus stands. Mr. Gowda said the KSRTC was issuing Radio Frequency Identification passes on an experiment basis and advised students to make correct entries in their application forms. The computerised passes would be issued within 15 days and till such time students would be allowed to travel free in KSRTC buses. For details, students can contact their respective bus stands.
