HYDERABAD: A criminal case was registered against the associates of former captain of Andhra Pradesh volleyball team Ravikanth Reddy for creating `nuisance' in front of the PCC president K. Keshava Rao's house in Banjara Hills on Tuesday.

The case was booked under Sections 141 (unlawful assembly), 341(wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation) based on a complaint lodged by Dr. Rao's daughter, Vijaya Lakshmi, the police said.

Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi complained to the police that Ravikanth's associates gathered in front of the house and made derogatory remarks against her family members.

Special Correspondent adds: Meanwhile, the Banjara Hills police confirmed that they had received a complaint against Mr. Reddy by Dr. Rao's daughter on Monday.

Telugu Yuvatha president and former Minister, T. Srinivas Yadav, urged Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Home Minister K. Jana Reddy to call on Mr. Ravikanth Reddy and find out what happened on the day.
