Seshendra Sarma passes away

HYDERABAD: Noted poet and critic Seshendra Sarma, better known as Guntur Seshendra, died here late on Wednesday night at his residence. He was born on October 20, 1927.

Epics like "Adhunika Mahabharatham" and "Janavasam" escalated his emergence on the Indian literature scene. He graduated from Andhra Christian College, Guntur, and served the State Government in the rank of Deputy Municipal Commissioner for nearly 37 years. He was proficient in Telugu, English, Hindi and Sanskrit.
