Thiruvananthapuram: Three youths from the city were killed and one was seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Dindigul in Tamil Nadu early on Wednesday. The police identified the deceased as Muhammad Sheji, 33, Amjad Khan, 28, and Rajesh, 28. The injured was identified as Sasikumar. Sheji of Thoppu Udumbu House at Chakka owns a men's wear and fashion accessories shop at Attakulangara. He is survived by his wife, Sajina, and children, Salman and Aisha. Sheji has acted in minor roles in several Malayalam feature films. Amjad Khan, Sheji's cousin, is a resident of Kalpaka Nagar at Chakka. Rajesh of Mudumbil House, Karali Lane, is a Gulf returnee. Rajesh had come to visit his mother and was scheduled to return to his work place in Saudi Arabia in June. Sasikumar belongs to a business family that owns a chain of Ayurveda clinics in the State. The friends had left for Bangalore in a rented car on Monday morning. It was a business trip undertaken on the behalf of Sheji who wanted to select a new range of fashion clothes from Bangalore. The car, which collided head on with a lorry, was crushed in the impact. The bodies will be brought to the city on Thursday evening.
