dated June 1, 1957: Memorial to Tilak

Mrs. Lakshmi Menon, Deputy Minister for External Affairs, told Mr. D.C. Sharma in the Lok Sabha on May 30 that Burma had approved India's proposal for erecting a memorial to Lokmanya Tilak in the Mandalay prison. The memorial would be in the form of a lecture hall in the prison where Tilak had undergone imprisonment.
