Piaggio launches sub one-tonne pickup vehicle

CHENNAI: Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Piaggio & C SpA of Italy, has launched a pickup vehicle in the sub one-tonne category. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, Ravi Chopra, Chairman and Managing Director, Pioggio Vehicles, said the four wheeler `ape TRUK', has features such as comfortable car-like interiors, excellent stability, the highest payload, three side openable panels and all-terrain capability. The vehicle is manufactured at the company's fully automated plant at Baramati, Maharashtra.
