NEW DELHI: Yuvraj Singh's all-round performance helped Indian Airlines beat All India Public Sector by nine wickets and make it to the final of the Lala Raghubir Singh hot weather cricket tournament at the Modern School, Barakhamba Road, here on Thursday. Playing his first tournament after returning from National duty in the Bangladesh tour, Yuvraj first claimed three wickets and then smashed an unbeaten 22 runs to fashion Indian Airlines' comfortable win. Put in to bat, All India Public Sector was dismissed for 179 in the 38th over with Nischal Gaur (43) and Anshul Kapoor (38) reaching decent figures. Yuvraj's fellow left-arm spinner, Kuldeep Singh, exploited the conditions to claim three wickets. In reply, Airlines captain, Vijay Dahiya, hit a quickfire 85 (56b, 15x4) while Manish Sharma scored an unbeaten 70 (83b, 3x6, 5x4) to make the chase easy. The scores: All India Public Sector 179 in 37.5 overs (Nischal Gaur 43) lost to Indian Airlines 180 for one in 26.5 overs (Vijay Dahiya 85, Manish Sharma 70 not out).
