NDA yet to finalise candidate

Panaji: The BJP on Thursday said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is yet to finalise its choice for the President's post.

``The meeting of all NDA constituents was called and Atal Bihari Vajpayee is authorised to take the final decision,'' party president Rajnath Singh told reporters here.

Before leaving Goa, where he campaigned for two days for the June 2 Assembly polls, Mr. Singh said Mr. Vajpayee would meet all the alliance parties and take their views.

``We will meet again, sit and discuss the issue before finalising anything,'' Mr. Singh said. — PTI
