Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Raising the pitch for categorisation of the Scheduled Castes, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) founder Manda Krishna Madiga has said he will launch the `Madiga upakulala jaitra yatra' on a bicycle in Anantapur on June 11.

At a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Krishna Madiga said the yatra would reach Hyderabad on July 21 after covering Rayalaseema and Telangana. It will culminate in a public meeting here. He appealed to all sub-sects of SCs, including Malas, to come together and fight for justice.

Mr. Krishna said he would invite Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, floor leaders in the Assembly and senior leaders of political parties for the meeting.

He said the MRPS State Executive that met here on Wednesday had resolved to leave no stone unturned in making the July 21 meeting a success.
