Youth dies of gastroenteritis, 73 affected

KADAPA: Gastroenteritis claimed the life of a youngster, while 72 persons were affected in Nidjivvi and one in Pasuguntapalle villages in Yerraguntla mandal on Thursday.

One Kalluri Nabi Rasool (21) died as water contamination was said to have caused the outbreak of the disease. Doctors said water samples were sent for analysis. Deputy DM&HO Subbarayudu and paramedical staff of Yerraguntla and Chilamakur treated the affected persons at a medical camp organised at Yerraguntla mandal parishad upper primary school. District Collector M.T. Krishna Babu visited the camp on Thursday.
